TEACHING

Kristian Petkov is a graduate of the National Music Academy "Lyubomir Pipkov“ Sofia, he completed his bachelor's and master's degrees at the National Music Academy "Pancho Vladigerov" with Prof. Marin Valchanov and continued his studies at the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt Weimar (Germany) with Prof. Frank Forst (bachelor’s-  master's degrees and solo class). He attended master classes of Klaus Thunemann, Otis Klöber, Stanislav Ria, Ulrich Kircheis. During his studies, he began teaching at the Hochschule für Musik "Franz Liszt“ - Weimar.

Kristian Petkov has performed in a number of renowned ensembles, e.g. Berliner Symphonker, Babelsberg Film Orchestra, Silk Road Orchestra, Malaysian Symphony Orchestra, Ensemble Contraste, Forum for Contemporary Music Leipzig, Salzburg Chamber Orchestra, Theater Hildesheim, Theater Meiningen, Thuringian Philharmonic, Jena Philharmonic, Leipzig Chamber Orchestra, Academic Symphony Orchestra, New Symphony Orchestra, Sofia Philharmonic, etc.

His performances with distinguished musicians such as Ivo Pogorelic, Christophe Prégardien, Juan José Mosalin, Alan Buribayev, Hans Rothmann, Jean-Yves Thiboudet, Frank Strobel, Kevin John Edusey, brought him to Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Luxembourg, and other.
